Why Built by Borda Is Different
Rehab That Moves You Forward
Some rehabilitation models can pull athletes out of the gym, slow training exposure, or focus primarily on pain rather than full performance.
At Built by Borda, rehabilitation is designed to support athletes who want to stay engaged, stay strong, and return to sport prepared—not just cleared.
What Sets This Approach Apart
✓ We focus on what you can do, not just what you can’t.
Even during injury recovery, most athletes are capable of training in some capacity. Programming is modified to maintain strength, conditioning, and movement while respecting the healing process, helping athletes stay physically and mentally connected to their sport.
✓ You receive a detailed, sport-specific return-to-play plan.
Clear progression matters. Athletes are guided through appropriate skills, drills, conditioning, and loading so expectations are defined and progress feels intentional.
✓ The mental side of recovery is part of the process.
Confidence, fear of re-injury, frustration, and uncertainty are common during rehab. Addressing these factors is essential for a successful return to sport and long-term performance.
✓ Rehabilitation transitions seamlessly into strength and performance.
Rather than stopping at symptom resolution, rehab blends into strength training and sport preparation—bridging the gap so athletes don’t feel “cleared but not ready.”
What rehab looks like here.
Physical therapy at Built by Borda blends rehabilitation, strength training, and sport preparation into a cohesive process. Sessions are designed around the athlete’s current abilities, injury status, and sport demands—whether that’s gymnastics, another competitive sport, or an active lifestyle.
Care may include:
Injury assessment and movement analysis
Progressive rehabilitation exercises
Strength training tailored to the athlete
Sport-specific preparation and load management
Education around training modifications and recovery
The goal is not just recovery—but capacity.
Who is this good for.
Gymnasts managing injuries while continuing to train
Youth and adult athletes returning from injury or surgery
Athletes with recurring pain or lingering limitations
Individuals who want rehab to connect to performance
Athletes who want guidance beyond basic exercise sheets
Return to sport is a process
Return to sport is treated as a gradual, intentional progression—not a single clearance date. Programming focuses on restoring strength, tolerance, and confidence so athletes can safely reintroduce skills, conditioning, and training volume.
Return-to-sport planning considers:
Physical readiness and fatigue tolerance
Sport-specific demands and skill exposure
Confidence, fear, and mental readiness
Communication with coaches and families when appropriate
Beyond Rehab
Rehabilitation at Built by Borda does not end when pain improves. Strength training and performance principles are integrated to help athletes transition from rehab to full training with fewer setbacks and greater confidence.
This approach helps athletes leave rehab:
Stronger than before injury
More resilient to future injury
Better prepared for sport demands
There are also options to continue working on injury prevention, strength, and performance improvement.

Yes! I love to treat post-op! Often people are concerned about cost of cash PT after surgery, but I am happy to discuss a post-op package.

Absolutely not! While I do have gymnastics expertise, I see all people who want to feel better, get stronger, and get back to activity. I make it a goal to learn what the patient’s goals are and do my best to have them meet those. I might not be an expert in all sports, but I promise I AM an expert in movement and will study what I need to to help you with any specifics for your sport.
